Dirty, Difficult, and Dangerous

La Miseria by Christobal Rojas (1886)

As you've heard here before, part of good foresight practice is to constantly scan for news and information. Whether you're following long established trends, finding emerging issues, or looking for early indicators related to your scenarios, daily scanning opens you to new ideas and keeps you on top of current events.

Unfortunately, that daily scanning can be a bit depressing. It has been shown that negative headlines increase the likelihood we'll click, and, conversely, that positive words in headlines decrease clicks.

On that note, this was an interesting read this week - it reminds us of the amazing progress humanity has made, that there are always things to celebrate, though we may not see them.

We live in an amazing world, and we should stop taking it for granted.
